Mentelity Foundation receives fantastic check after SUP Elfstedentocht

This week Bibian Mentel received a beautiful check from Herman van den Berg for the Mentelity Foundation. Herman completed the Elfstedentocht with his Team Fanatic Sup Benelux on a supboard and managed to raise €26,338.

In early September, the athletes covered 220 kilometers across the Frisian waters. A number of suppers did so in a five-day trip, while Herman, among others, stood on his board non-stop. "The goal was to raise at least €11,000, but in the end it became more than €18,000. Very valuable to be able to support the Mentelity Foundation just now in this way," Herman said.

Team Fanatic Sup Benelux applied to Het Gehandicapte Kind prior to their challenge. They give initiatives dedicated to children with disabilities the opportunity to double the amount raised (with a maximum of €7,500) through the Plus Scheme. This allowed another €7,500 to be added to the total.

The Mentelity Foundation is incredibly grateful for the support of Team Fanatic Sup Benelux and The Handicapped Child. "For charities and foundations it is a tough year. The suppers did a great job with their trip and also ensure that children with physical challenges can get moving. That the amount could be increased by the support of The Handicapped Child makes this all even more wonderful."
